NYSEG says it is ending fixed-rate option
New York State Electric & Gas, the Rochester utility that serves parts of the Capital Region, is ending its Voice Your Choice program that allowed residential customers to buy their electricity supply at a fixed rate directly through the utility.
Customers on the Voice Your Choice program will be automatically moved to the utility's variable rate supply program, which is similar to how utilities such as National Grid sell electricity to their residential customers.
