Byline: BOB NIEDT RETAIL NOTEBOOK
Short takes:
A Skaneateles poet and an artist have come up with a locally flavored card suitable for framing. The print is a rendering of the Christmas tree put up by the village at the end of the pier jutting into Skaneateles Lake. It's rendered by Marian Settineri. Poet Mary Gardner wrote the text, a poem titled "Secrets on the Pier." The card retails for $5 to $5.50 and is available at Creekside Books, the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce, First National Gifts and other village locations.
