TOKYO, Nov 5 Asia Pulse - Autoparts manufacturer Alpha Corp. (TSE:3434) will spend roughly 1.5 billion yen (US$16.5 million) to build an automobile door handle factory in Thailand .

The company will erect the 16,000-sq.-meter facility at the site of an existing plant operated by subsidiary Alpha Industry (Thailand) Co. Mass production is slated to commence in November 2010.

The factory currently has two wings: one that produces automotive key parts and door handles and another that applies coating. The new plant will take over the door handle production functions, boosting the capacity to 2 million ...
