BHP TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION ON NEW SAFETY CONCERN
PERTH - BHP Billiton Ltd (ASX:BHP) has temporarily suspended the construction of a new rail line in Western Australia's Pilbara region after raising safety concerns with the contractor.
The 200km rail line is being built from Port Hedland to Redmont as part of the mining giant's Rapid Growth Project 5 (RPG5) to expand iron ore output.
