WORCESTER - Barbara G. Haller yesterday rolled over challenger Grace C. Ross for election to her fifth term as a District 4 city councilor.
Unofficial results showed Ms. Haller with 61.7 percent of the vote - remarkably only 0.2 percent lower than the result two years ago over Lynne H. Simonds. The incumbent apparently won all 10 precincts this year, where two years ago she lost one: Precinct 3 in Ward 10.
Speaking at Gilrein's, the bar and restaurant she once owned, Ms. Haller said: "It's a resounding victory for the district. We'll be able to continue the work that we've been doing in terms of rebuilding the neighborhoods ...
