LOS ANGELES -- Hanmi Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: HAFC) ("we," "our" or "Hanmi"), the holding company for Hanmi Bank (the "Bank"), reported a third-quarter net loss of $59.7 million, or ($1.26) per share, compared to net income of $4.3 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2008. During the third quarter, we incurred tax charges of $38.2 million related to a valuation allowance of deferred tax assets. Excluding this charge, the net loss would have been $21.5 million for the third quarter of 2009, primarily driven by $49.5 million in credit loss provisions.
