ROBERT READ never seems to be far away from being the League's top break-maker, and this week was no exception as the Lindley WMC man knocked in 63 to beat Lower Hopton's Ian Newby.
Read's teammate Naeem - the two have ironically been drawn against each other in the Snooker Championship (again) - also made a solid break (38), but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat to Neil Ewart, whiele Hopton's Dean Poutney had a 31 mark as he beat Andy Boothroyd to seal a 2-2 draw for the visitors.
