WE DO not understand why everyone is so scornful of government plans to offer primary school children careers advice. We spoke to the mother of a Year One boy who told us: 'Josh wants to be a big red tractor when he grows up, and is extremely serious about it after carefully considering quite a few other options, like pirate, dinosaur, shark and cowboy. We believe that, with the right career advice, he will achieve his ambition faster and more directly.' As for Josh, he says: 'One day, I am going to have really, really big wheels and sleep in a barn with the moo-moos.' ...
