TUSTIN, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Sept. 15, 1998--Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. (TAMS) has been awarded a contract from the Defense Logistics Agency Support Center Philadelphia (DSCP) to supply magnet resonance imaging systems (MRI) to U.S. military hospitals worldwide.

Under the contract, Department of Defense facilities, as well as other federal hospitals, can purchase MRI systems directly from Toshiba. The contract covers a one year period and may be extended up to a total of five years.
