A TALENTED graphic design student who achieved his big break while exhibiting work for the very first time is set to gain more acclaim at a forthcoming event.
Work by Simon Phung from Birmingham impressed the art co-ordinator at The Light House in Wolverhampton so much that she invited him to participate in the media centre's Deaffest event taking place from November 27 to 29.
The deaf 18-year-old, who created the artwork while studying a BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design at Birmingham Metropolitan College, was one of the first people to have been signed up for the unique event that celebrates the talents of deaf filmmakers and media artists.
