MMG to invest $60.4 mln to expand Sepon copper operations
Shanghai. November 4. INTERFAX-CHINA - Minerals and Metals Group (MMG), the Australian subsidiary of China Minmetals Corp., has committed to invest $60.4 million to expand the production capacity at its Sepon copper operation in Laos, MMG announced on Nov. 4.
The expansion project will boost the annual refined copper production capacity from 65,000 tons to 80,500 tons. MMG said it will immediately commence the expansion project, which is expected to be completed in September 2010.
