HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1998--American Homestar Corporation (Nasdaq/NM:HSTR) today announced that it has completed the acquisitions of First Value Homes in North Carolina and the DWP Companies in the Pacific Northwest. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
First Value Homes operates two retail sales centers in North Carolina, specializing in modular homes and custom manufactured homes. In calendar 1997, First Value generated revenues of approximately $24 million from its two distinctive, environmentally displayed retail centers. The transaction closed effective July 1, 1998. A third retail sales center is already under development.
