"Spontaneously Diabetic Torii (SDT) rat shows severe ocular complications such as tractional retinal detachment. In the present study, effect of protein kinase C beta (PKC beta) inhibitor JTT-010 was evaluated to clarify the involvement of PKC beta in complications of SDT rat," scientists writing in the journal Diabetes Obesity & Metabolism report (see also Obesity and Diabetes).
