Following a dismal 2008 holiday season, with the worst results since the 1970 and 1981 recessions, Karabus Management Inc., a leading retail advisory firm and a subsidiary of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Canada, predicts flat to one percent growth in holiday sales for 2009 (see also Karabus Management Inc.).
"Across all channels, retailers have reduced costs and are better prepared for this holiday season than they were last year," stated Michael Unger, Managing Director in Karabus' Performance Improvement practice.
