Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. ("PSI") (NASDAQ: PSYS) announced financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009. Revenue was $455.3 million for the quarter, up 5.5% from $431.7 million for the third quarter of 2008. Income from continuing operations attributable to PSI stockholders increased 1.7% to $28.1 million from $27.6 million. Income from continuing operations attributable to PSI stockholders per diluted share was $0.50 for the third quarter of 2009, a 2.0% increase from $0.49 for the third quarter of 2008 (see also Psychiatric Solutions, Inc.).
