The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) a seven-year, $145 million contract to support its Environmental Response Team with technical and analytical expertise during environmental emergencies in the U.S. and U.S. territories.
Under the Scientific, Engineering, Response & Analytical Services (SERAS) Program, Lockheed Martin will provide the EPA's Environmental Response Team with 24-hour support during environmental emergencies, quickly assessing the situation, making suggestions for containment and assisting with remediation activities.
