"The actin nucleation factors Spire and Cappuccino interact with each other and regulate essential cellular events during Drosophila oogenesis in a cooperative fashion. The interaction blocks formin actin nucleation activity and enhances the Spire activity," researchers in Regensburg, Germany report.
