NEW YORK-As buyers prepare to shop October's New York Home Textiles Show next month, many will be paying close attention to one item on their shopping lists: decorative pillows. Retailers across all distribution channels are convinced of the power of impulse sales, and decorative pillows fit the bill.
"They're all over our store," said Linda Dunlop, commercial support assistant for textiles and rugs at IKEA. "We have them in room settings, tossed in large bins around the store and even in the cash lanes."
