Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:PTEN) reported financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2009. The Company reported a net loss for the third quarter of 2009 of $18.6 million, or $0.12 per share, compared to net income of $109 million, or $0.69 per share, for the third quarter of 2008. Revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 were $176 million, compared to $609 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
