Hearing is believing as Ford engineers see sound
Seeing is believing, and now, thanks to cutting-edge technology, hearing is believing, too. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) engineers are using a new technology that allows them to actually see unwanted sounds and eliminate them during vehicle development, helping ensure Ford vehicles have the quietest interior cabins ever. The Noise Source Identification Tool, "Noise Vision" for short, is a small sphere equipped with more than 30 highly sensitive microphones and 12 cameras, and it's helped give the new 2010 Ford Taurus, Fusion, Flex and F-150 the quietest interiors in their classes. more...
