Tata Steel, the world's eighth-largest steelmaker by output, said Wednesday it has reduced the prices of flat steel products by 4%. The price cut took effect Nov. 1, company spokesman Sanjay Chowdhury said. Prices of long products were unchanged. Other steel makers, including Steel Authority of India and JSW Steel, lowered flat steel product prices Tuesday by 3%-5%.
