Taiwan has set a goal of boosting its green energy output value to NT$1.158 trillion (US$35.57 billion) by 2015, from NT$160.3 billion in 2008, the Bureau of Energy said Wednesday.
To this end, the government will spend at least NT$20 billion on research and development in the field over the next five years, said the bureau's director-general Yeh Huey-ching during a meeting of Executive Yuan technology advisors.
The government also plans to offer incentive loans and insurance plans to domestic green energy producers and equipment manufacturers to help them crack overseas markets and join international supply lines, ...
