A $500 million wind farm slated for CSU's Maxwell Ranch is on hold after the university's private development partner failed to come up with financing.
The farm north of Fort Collins was being developed jointly by the Colorado State University Research Foundation and Wind Holding LLC. But Wind Holding ran into financial difficulties and this summer was warned by CSURF the deal was in jeopardy. CSURF gave the company until the end of October to get back on track.
