GERMAN power giants are preparing to identify their preferred reactor for a Wylfa B power station as they formally announce a new company to take the project forward.
RWE npower and E.ON UK have created Horizon Nuclear Power for their joint venture to build a new reactor on Anglesey.
The firm reaffirmed its belief that Wylfa was a prime site for new nuclear development and announced it would soon be choosing the type of reactor to build on the site.
They will pick between the French supplier AREVA and their EPR 1600MW reactor and the American built Westinghouse AP1000.
