WIVES and husbands employed by MPs could go to the High Court in their battle against a ban on being employed by their partners.

As party leaders insisted they would press ahead with a package of expenses reforms announced by Sir Christopher Kelly earlier this week, backbench anger is coalescing around the proposed bar on paying spouses to work as secretaries and researchers.
