Greg Wright says he's out of room.
"We're overwhelmed," he's saying the other day at 308 Otisco St., the Near West Side building that houses ReStore, the budget home-improvement shop where Greg's the manager. The operation is under the wing of Habitat for Humanity, which has its offices upstairs.
The idea here, as Greg points out, is to keep gently used construction materials and fixtures out of our landfills. ReStore sells the materials at 50 percent of cost, or less, and turns the money over to Habitat, which uses it to build anew. "We're here for the community," according to Greg, who is an ordained ...
