TOKYO, Nov 6 Asia Pulse - The seven leading Japanese automakers collectively swung to the black in the April-September fiscal half, but individual results show marked differences in the strength of their recoveries.

The group logged a 14.6 billion yen (US$160.9 million) consolidated operating profit for the half, a sharp rebound from its 1.66 trillion yen operating loss in the second half of the previous fiscal year.
