WORCESTER - Worcester State College faculty members have voted no confidence in President Janelle C. Ashley.
The secret ballot vote, which started Tuesday morning and concluded at 4 p.m. yesterday, was 74-56, with two abstentions, according to Anne Falke, president of the faculty union.
While the vote was not accompanied by a bill of particulars listing grievances against Ms. Ashley, as is customary, Ms. Falke has said the main impetus for the move was that professors and other employees think the president has not shown effective leadership during difficult economic times for the college.
