MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Nov 6, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FWR) announces that a hearing before the Bureau de decision et de revision en valeurs mobilieres will be held on November 12 and 13, 2009 to consider an application filed by Noront Resources Ltd. for a cease-trade order against Freewest's Shareholder Rights Plan, adopted in 2008. The application follows Noront's hostile take-over bid for all of Freewest's outstanding shares launched on October 13, 2009.
