THE British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa earlier this year highlighted two serious problems for tourists who were staying in the west of the city ... as their B&B hosts discovered.
"Transport from the highway area - Westville, Pinetown and Hillcrest - to Durban was inadequate and there was also a lack of information for tour-ists about what they could do in the area," said Barry Livsey, chairman of the new Durban West Community Tourist Association, an initiative between the city and community stakeholders in the inner west region.
