AS AUDI CONTINUES ITS new-product assault14 new or freshened models in 24 monthsin an attempt to strengthen its toehold in the U.S. luxury-car market against the likes of BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz, it has developed a driver-training program in California that right now is a pole sitter.
Having a driving school is not unique to Audi. BMW has long hosted a school at its South Carolina facility, and Mercedes is bringing its highly touted AMG program to the States (see page 35 ). Porsche also has a well-thought-of driver-training program.
