The acquittal of three former Marsh Inc. executives accused in connection with New York state's bid-rigging investigation of the brokerage drew mixed reactions from legal experts last week.
Some said the not-guilty verdicts for Joseph Peiser, Greg J. Doherty and Kathleen M. Drake were not surprising, given New York County Supreme Court Judge James A. Yates' relatively light sentences imposed in the first trial last year in the case.
