Bodman chairman to step down from post
Larry Shulman, chairman of Detroit-based Bodman L.L.P., will step down from that position and from the law firm's executive management committee on Jan. 1 after 10 years to focus more exclusively on his practice in Bodman's banking practice group.
Replacing him in January will be Ralph McDowell, partner in the firm's automotive and bankruptcy practice groups.
Shulman said he had been contemplating the move since at least mid-2008, and the firm's leadership appointed his successor earlier this year. Shulman, 56, became chairman of what was then Bodman Longley & Dahling L.L.P. in January 2000.
