It's a cycle that's reaping benefits for the areas surrounding Akron and Interstate 76, according to officials in those communities.
Strong institutions, such as hospitals and universities, draw people. Many of those people become better educated, making for a more qualified work force. Companies relocate to the communities with a more qualified work force, which helps them develop better products and be more successful.
That, in turn, allows the communities to pitch themselves as a better place for even more companies, institutions and residents.
