The United Auto Workers appear to be far from united and that's causing consternation for the leadership of the union's local in Brook Park, where workers hope their brothers and sisters across the country ratify new concessions for Ford Motor Co.
If they don't, hundreds of jobs promised to Brook Park by Ford might not materialize.
"The contract modifications have to pass for us to get the work, said UAW Local 1250 president Mike Gammella, who represents about 1,200 Ford workers in Brook Park.
As of last Friday, Oct. 30, some UAW locals were approving the changes, but others were not. Voting was set to continue ...
