Robbins L.L.C.'s recent purchase of Biltrite Group's Findlay, Ohio, manufacturing and rubber mixing facility accomplished a number of things, not the least of which was broadening the firm's overall base.
That's a goal President and CEO Steve Saucier has had since he came on board in July 2008, about six months after private equity firm Gray Mountain Partners purchased the rubber product manufacturer and custom mixer.
Even during poor economic times, Robbins' focus is to grow, not regress, Saucier said at the ACS Rubber Division technical meeting and exposition, held Oct. 13-15 in Pittsburgh.
