Maag Pump Systems A.G. is expanding its product line for the silicone and rubber processing markets with a new split gear pump series that helps accelerate time spent on part changes and cleaning.
The extrex RQ gear pump utilizes a split casing with an integrated gear shaft bearing package that gives an operator easy single-tool access to the inner pump chamber, allowing for fast parts removal and quick cleaning of the flow channels, Maag said.
This means minimal downtime during product changeovers, reducing maintenance costs and boosting productivity, said Joerg Giesler, Maag business development manager.
