Aeroflot expects passenger volume to drop 14% in 2009 (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines (RTS: AFLT) expects passenger volume to total about 8 million in 2009, 14% less than in 2008.

"We anticipate over 8 million passengers in 2009. It's too early to guess at a more exact figure," General Director Vitaly Savelyev said at a briefing on Thursday.

The flagship carrier had 9.3 million passengers in 2008.

The company had previously said passenger volume in 2009 would equal last year's level.
