In 2009, we, the Carey family, celebrate the centennial
anniversary as owners and operators of Hawthorne Race Course. This would never have been possible without the loyal support of all the fans that have passed through the turnstiles or watched our product from afar, via the ever expanding world of simulcasting.
Through the years, we have raced both Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds, working passionately to put forth a winning product. From the Illinois Derby, Gold Cup, and Illinois Day to the Harness Racing School, we have had, and always will have, the racing fanAEs best interests in mind.
