"America's Hometown" - that's how an article in the July/August issue of National Geographic Traveler describes Minneapolis, along with its sister city, Saint Paul. Those of us lucky enough to live here year-round are looking forward to June 1999, when we welcome home the "Knowledge Leaders for the New Millennium" attending SLA's 90th Annual Conference. While you may visit the Twin Cities for only the week of the conference, we think you, like the writer of the article, might well "lay claim to an emotional homestead" in the heartland.
