DirecTV Latin America's (DTVLA) revenues increased 16% to US$761mn in the third quarter of 2009 compared to US$658mn in the year-ago period, principally due to strong subscriber growth in Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela, the company said in a statement.

Arpu was up slightly to US$59.80 from US$59.32 in 3Q08, primarily due to price increases and higher fees for HD and DVR services, but offset by unfavorable exchange rates in Brazil and Argentina compared to last year.
