A Charleston defense contractor has been awarded a contract worth nearly $24 million that includes options that could eventually be worth almost $234 million.

The Charleston location of BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services Inc., based in Rockville, Md., won the $23.7 million contract through SPAWAR. The company will provide the engineering, integration, testing, inspection and delivery of an integrated system or other equipment for tactical platforms and vehicles on land and at sea.
