OVER the years our feelings at the end of Taste Testing evenings have ranged from surprise and delight to deep disappointment, but as we left Hafod House Country Hotel in Trefriw it was with a sense of bemusement.
Our visit proved to be a real Curate's egg. One minute my wife and I were both expressing our pleasure at the choice and quality of the food, the next we felt tempted to burst out laughing after another Faulty Towers moment.
