A Christmas 'Castle' with TSO

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra brings its annual yuletide extravaganza to the Kohl Center this Monday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Cornball as it is, this arena rock show sells out almost every year by whipping up one dazzling Christmas spectacular, a blend of theatrical '80s hair metal, Sunday morning church choir, Disney-esque ballads, a string section and plenty of pyrotechnic wizardry. More than 1.2 million fans in 90-plus cities streamed to the show last year, its most successful to date.
