The comparisons between two successful seasons of Cuba City girls volleyball teams are almost unavoidable.
In 2007, the Cubans went 12-0 in conference play, sweeping every match along the way. This year, they again went 12-0, and swept every match except a four-set win at Southwestern.
In 2007, Cuba City won the Middleton Invitational - a tournament that is traditionally one of the toughest in the state with ranked teams from all four divisions. This year, the Cubans rallied to defeat Lodi, one of the top teams in Division 2, to win the Middleton event.
