Owasco residents will have to wait until next week to learn who won their town supervisor and town council races, a Cayuga County elections commissioner said Thursday.
With about 100 absentee ballots to be counted, both races are too close to call, Republican Commissioner Cherl Heary said.
In the supervisorAEs race, Democrat John J. Klink is clinging to a 26-vote lead over Republican Ed Wagner Jr., 705 to 679, Heary said. There are two seats open on the town council, and Republican Anthony R. Gucciardi is leading with 707 votes.
