MARLBORO - State officials expressed concern yesterday over Evergreen Solar Inc.'s plan to transfer assembly of solar panels from its new $425 million Devens plant to China next year.
Evergreen Solar, which recently completed the second phase of a new manufacturing plant in Devens with the aid of $58 millions in state grants, tax incentives and loans, will continue to manufacture silicon wafers at Devens, as well as cells used to make solar panels.
