Taipei, Oct.29, 2009 (CENS)--Many of Taiwan's leading manufacturers of printed circuit boards (PCBs) meant for mobile phones expect sales for the present quarter to further rise after seeing surging sales for the last quarter.

Unimicron Corp., currently Taiwan's No.1 PCB maker, estimates its shipment of handset boards for this quarter to exceed its shipments in the other three quarters of this year.

The company shipped 70 million mobile-phone boards in the second quarter, increasing 34.62% from a quarter earlier although contracting 29.29% year on year. It expects third-quarter shipment to be higher than second-quarter shipment.
