I knew my Woodville trip would be a good one the second I learned that gooey butter cake was in my future. This sweet cake is a staple in St. Louis, Missouri, and the proposition of finding the concoction outside my childhood hometown's confines has always proven, well, sticky.
But I did find a version--and found that version delicious--at Woodville's L&M Bakery and Deli. this restaurant, open from breakfast through dinner, is filled with Southern tastes.
