Article: HIRE Act to provide tax deductions/credits for home improvement; industry coalition providing strong support.(Association News)

As reported in the September 2009 issue of Coatings Tech (page 5), H.R. 3382, the Home Improvements Revitalize the Economy (HIRE) Act, was introduced in the U.S. House on July 29. The bill, put forth by Rep. Henry Johnson (D-GA), Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA), and a bipartisan group that has grown to 15 members of Congress, has been referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means.
